Reba McEntire to go in Hall of FameThe Country Music Hall of Fame has announced who will join its ranks in 2011. The big news is that singer Reba McEntire will finally be inducted. Given her vast influence on the country-pop sound of the 1980s, not to mention the millions of records she sold in that decade, the honor is long overdue.
Also gaining membership to the Hall of Fame are songwriter Bobby Braddock, who penned the George Jones classic "'He Stopped Loving Her Today," and longtime Grand Ole Opry performer Jean Shepard. The ceremony will take place later this year. In the meantime, it might be wise to brush up on the Essential Reba McEntire albums. RIP - HILLBILLY1
HILLBILLY1 (AKA Asus A7M266) Manufactured ? – November 19, 2010 (11:48pm CST) Resident of Nature’s Pace Sanctuary died last night after fighting a courageous and on-going battle with Microsoft and its evil minions. For the past several days, HILLBILLY1 struggled desperately to escape the evil clutches of Microsoft at his home in the lodge. But his best liberation attempts proved to be futile - he finally gave up trying to fill silly requests from M$. HILLBILLY1 was conceived in a clean room, born from silicon, and graduated from the school of M$ hard knocks. HILLBILLY1 was forcibly brought back from an early retirement only a few days before his passing. Although he always struggled to maintain M$ processing, his last few days were also spent helping others, re-education, and on-going training for himself. HILLBILLY1 wishes his epitaph to read: "I wish my first spoken word was 'Quote' so I could make my last word 'Unquote'."
Final words from his trainer/handler/SysOp MASTER: “I am so very sorry HILLBILLY1, I feel as though I have unwittingly killed you. I should never have infected you with that evil virus known as Microsoft. Your processor was too simple, your memory too small, and yet you always tried to fulfill those stupid M$ requests in spite of your limitations. Rather I should have done us all a favor and installed Ubuntu 10.10 (Linux) instead. It would have been much easier and better for all of us.” Rest know my old friend, your processing days are finally over. Take a break, we promise we won’t bother you no more. -=- (After all, with a toasted MOBO, how could we?) -=-
